With more than 1,3 million websites hosted, HostGator is one of the biggest companies in the world offering shared hosting. Such a big operation requires a lot of servers - and lot of servers means a lot of carbon emissions.
HostGator has now changes all their servers to more efficient servers to save energy, and has bought renewable energy credits to offset all their carbon emissions. The initiative is equivalent of removing 444 cars from the road for a year or powering 321 homes with clean energy for a year!
